Chapter 6
Summary:This chapter starts out with a reporter coming to Gatsby's house. While there he asked about Gatsby's life and the story follows by explaining how Gatsby got to be known so popularly and explained his early life. Then one of Mr. Gatsby's great parties arrived and Daisy and Tom showed up there. Gatsby wanted Daisy to have the best time, but she said she was very bored except for the thirty minutes she got to spend alone with Gatsby. Once everyone left from the party Nick stayed behind to help Gatsby clean up. During their cleaning, They talked about Daisy and Gatsby said he was going to get her back and relive the past five years ago.

Reflections: This chapter reflects the roaring twenties because of all the alcohol and partying shown in chapter six which is similiar to what occured in the 1920s.
Analysis: In this chapter, the feminist criticism could be seen because Daisy couldn't really think for herself. She couldn't go alone places because Tom did not like it. Also, she was told how she felt during this chapter.
Theme: Isolation could be represented in this chapter because at Gatsby's big party Daisy and Tom didn't know anyone and they felt isolated.
Color: The color that describes this chapter is black or dark grey. It is part of this chapter because it describes the darkness of the sky when they sit on the stairs and also could symbolize the fact the Tom Buchanan did not know Gatsby.
